Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Click the "Get Started" or "Sign Up" button on the home page. You can create an account using your email address. Once registered, you'll be guided through a brief onboarding process to personalize your AURA experience.

Is AURA free to use?

Yes! AURA offers a free tier that includes basic AI chat, mood tracking, and limited access to mindfulness exercises. Premium subscriptions unlock advanced features, unlimited exercises, detailed analytics, and priority support.

What devices does AURA support?

AURA is available as a mobile app for iOS (iPhone) and Android devices, as well as a web application accessible from any modern browser. You can also install AURA as a Progressive Web App (PWA) directly from your browser.

Features & Functionality

How does the AI companion work?

AURA's AI companion uses advanced natural language processing to engage in supportive conversations. It learns from your interactions to provide personalized responses and recommendations. However, remember that AURA is not a substitute for professional therapy or counseling.

How do I track my mood?

Navigate to the "Mood Tracking" section from the main menu. Select your current emotional state, add optional notes, and save your entry. Over time, you'll see visual trends and insights about your emotional patterns.

What are the 30-day wellness programs?

Our 30-day programs are structured sequences of mindfulness exercises, breathing techniques, and cognitive exercises designed by mental health professionals. Each program focuses on specific goals like stress reduction, anxiety management, or building resilience.

Can I use AURA offline?

Some features like viewing your mood history and previously loaded exercises work offline. However, AI conversations and syncing your data across devices require an internet connection.

Account & Privacy

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. We take your privacy seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your conversations and personal information are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can request a copy of all your data at any time through the app settings. We'll provide your information in a machine-readable format within 30 days.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Note that active subscriptions should be canceled before deleting your account to avoid future charges.

How do I change my password?

Navigate to Settings → Account → Change Password. You'll need to enter your current password and choose a new one. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page.

Subscriptions & Billing

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through our secure payment processor, Stripe. Payments are processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) for mobile subscriptions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → AURA → Cancel Subscription
Android: Open Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → AURA → Cancel
Web: Go to app Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription → Cancel

Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

We generally do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods. However, we may make exceptions for technical issues or service failures at our discretion. Contact [email protected] to request a refund.

Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?

Yes. Cancel your current subscription and subscribe to the new plan. The change will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Technical Issues

The app won't load or keeps crashing. What should I do?

Try these steps:

  1. Force close the app and reopen it
  2. Check that you have a stable internet connection
  3. Update to the latest version of AURA from the app store
  4. Restart your device
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the app (your data is saved in the cloud)

I'm not receiving notifications. How do I fix this?

Check that notifications are enabled both in the AURA app settings and your device settings:

iOS: Settings → Notifications → AURA → Allow Notifications
Android: Settings → Apps → AURA → Notifications → Enable

My data isn't syncing across devices. What's wrong?

Ensure you're logged into the same account on all devices and have an active internet connection. Try logging out and back in on the device where data isn't syncing. If the issue continues, contact support.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, click "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link via email. If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Is AURA a replacement for therapy or counseling?

NO. AURA is a mental wellness companion designed to support your daily mental health journey, but it is NOT a substitute for professional medical care, therapy, or counseling. AURA does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

What should I do in a mental health emergency?

Are AURA's responses reviewed by mental health professionals?

No. AURA's AI responses are generated by algorithms and are not reviewed or monitored by licensed mental health professionals. While our AI is trained on evidence-based wellness practices, it cannot replace the expertise of a qualified therapist or counselor.
